Project - Identity Politics, Representation and Co-Management in Acre – part of 'Deepening Democracy in States and Localities' Research Programme
Summary - The aim of this research is to work with activist-researchers to facilitate a process of critical reflection with indigenous peoples’ organisations and associations linked to the seringueiro (rubbertapper) movement, examining the strategies used and lessons learned in their engagement with government agencies and “invited spaces”, particularly around policy on health, land rights and natural resource management.
